October 22, 2019 Lifely Spray
I had just finished a radio commercial and put the audio in premiere. It was cool to do and learn about, but I did end up not recording my speech right. I had a couple of times where I had to re-record some phrases, it was a bit annoying. I remember when my new audio was more louder than my original audio and I had to shorten down or put in effects with music. My main problem was that I had the commercial longer than 30 seconds, we were supposed to have at 30, nothing more. Luckily I had help on that part and learned to put all selected, group clips, and stretch down the time to make it faster and at 30. I didn’t exactly put it in right pace, so it was speeding a bit and I can hear my voice hurrying up. It was difficult, but I learned something new and can improve on other projects in the future.
The product wasn’t real, but it did have an important use for it, saving lives. Even though it wasn’t, it felt like a real commercial. My voice was clear, but had a “bit” of sound from the crumble of the script I was reading from. I had fun in the end, it was like I was working at a radio station trying to piece together possible voices and audio to make a successful, like what I was doing in Adobe Audition and Premiere (Applications used). I enjoyed it on the way it was proposed, but still I could’ve done better on my pronunciation. Thankfully, the project was done and sounds good, except when it sounds like I’m going on a speed run. Thanks for reading and have a good day. |
Author Notes:Oct. 24, 2019-
Pretty neat on how some of my projects are a bit harder to work with, but I end up piecing them together and making them sound/look right. Mainly I see these projects and class to be effective in teaching one about the arts of video editing and audio distributing. I hope theses ideas and projects spread more mental thinking and enjoyment to completion or partly made work that fulfills to one's needs and ambitions in the later future. Piece for now, A.C.;) |
November 21, 2019 VR Pads
I just got done with a Project I have been working on since last week, it was pretty good and quick. At 30 seconds of course; it's supposed to be a Video Commercial this time. It was also my first time using Keying, where you have either a green or blue screen in the background to make a person or thing pop into the image or video. It was a bother since there wasn't much people who could do this process, luckily I learned from a video tutorial on how to key and fix specific features to make the person blend in like in the actual background. I also was looking for an actor to help with the "guy in the suit" part where he's advertising the product, VR Pads, while I was the VR player. VR means Virtual Reality, if you didn't know that. The objective was to make it like a advertisement had popped up in a VR Player's headset. It looked like it was-ish in a VR headset. Luckily I had a good friend who volunteered to act as the advertiser. You can look at his work at https://gsteffens.weebly.com/ . It was fun learning new things and using them to make a commercial of your own. I liked where there was some humor and the reality of not liking advertisements. I used the element to see the real reason of objection on most advertisements. Thanks for reading and have a Great Day!!

November 26, 2019-
I really had fun making this, my teacher said I had no problems with it, no audio distressing, had good video quality, and was goofy; that's what I was going for! I am very thankful to have this class where I can learn to do my very own projects one day and get used to how videos/ audio should look or sound. This project was very fun and irritating at the same time! I was precise with the camera and tried different angles and takes for this "commercial" to happen. Thanks for reading, A.C. out!! |
December 18, 2019 Christmas Wishes
I got to make a Christmas Wishes video. It was short like 10 seconds or more. I found a really soothing audio at first, but ended up using a more jumpy, cheerful type instead and sounds really good. I enjoyed making it, but I did have problems with it. I had to work on how long it has to be, of course. My teacher also tried to help me shorten down the audio to fit how long to be, though this was after I tried to figure out the length. I had to clip the ending to a more immediate time, sounds like it’s jumping from one place to another. I did end up getting it right, but I kept forgetting to record my voiceover. I went and recorded that and it went pretty well. Now the only thing I had to do was lower the volume of the music, so my voice was heard clearly and It was a while then my teacher helped me put it at a good volume segment for the music on my voiceover segment. After finishing, I listened to it and it sounds pretty well. I like the way it goes and places the whole sequence, I forgot to say I used three pictures as slides to go through. I felt this project tested my idea and way I see Christmas and how it’s enjoyable. Hard, but fun to work on. Happy Holidays!!!! And have a good year!!

January 14, 2020 Update on Vacation
It’s been a while since I have wrote down what we worked on and to find it to be a new year!! I forgot to write down about the PSA, Public Service Announcement, Project we worked on last month before Christmas Break. It was fun and interesting to work on and most went well but didn’t all go how I imagined it to be. Besides that I had fun on Christmas Break due to being able to hang out and sleep in and/or be stuck on my games. I got good presents, most of them were body wash and shampoos. I also had a RC Car for a couple minutes until when I had it driving in the road and someone didn’t stop and ran it overL. I got play a bit of game time with my mom, but of course it was for a while. I enjoyed my break, but I wished it lasted longer so I can get more sleep. I also was able to get new games and play with someone who likes Video Games. On the first two days of school after break, I was sick and stayed mostly in bed and watched a bit of T.V. I got better on Friday and went to find out about any work I may have missed. Today is Tuesday and it isn’t bad start so far and I got to try some new classes yesterday, due to missing them on Friday for reasons. Thanks for reading and have a great day!!

January 14, 2020 Drunk-Driving PSA
The last project we worked on in Digital Media was PSAs, Public Service Announcements, mine was on drunk-driving. I had fun making this project and making it like an actual-ish announcement; but of course there was some problems. First off, I was going to have help from a friend of mine on props and finding someone to drive/act dead. We didn’t find someone and we didn’t get to meet up much and plan some action. Second, I tried to shoot on a sunny day, but all I could get was a barely rising sun. I kept being focused on finding a driver and props that I forgot to check for when my setting was set. Third, the music, (shudders). I got good music don’t get me wrong, but the way I finished the project was just sloppy. I had the song being gentle in beginning, but due to it being a 30 second PSA I had to find a way to shorten down the song. I liked how the near end part of the song was dramatic and sounded more sad, but this is where I messed up. I put it in the last remaining seconds of the PSA and it sounds like nice and settling sad-like music, then it suddenly gets loud and over dramatic. The worst part about this is that I kept that; I mean break was going to start soon but I could’ve maybe tweaked it a bit. Besides that it’s good and was planning on having it a bit more “messy”, but it works in the end. Thanks for reading and have a Fantastic Day!!

March 2, 2020 Care-Animal Cruelty PSA
It has been a minute, but I am now writing about my projects again. This project was about Animal Cruelty, but did not show any cruelty, just a message. I had it where our pup Wolfy was doing some cute things with his family. It was hard a bit to get some shots with actions I wanted him to do, but we went on with it and did not force him. He was a really a good actor by just doing what he usually does, be a dog. It was cute on how he would react to some times like how I just brought the camera out of nowhere; it was also fun on how Bear, our other dog, was playing with him, as I anticipated. The most fun part was seeing my cat Fredrick went up and started wrestling around with them. P.S. Fredrick is the alpha animal; sorry just wanted to put that down. After reviewing the footage and figuring out what was needed, I noticed parts where Wolfy was actually trying to show off and show what he was doing. Bear and Wolfy are really good buds and make it fun to watch this PSA. Honestly, I really did not have much problems, except when Wolfy did not want to jump onto the couch with my sister. Later on though, I found out that he enjoys my sister picking him up from the edge of the couch and being pet of course. My later projects would become more complex or more difficult since I know how to get what is simple done quick-ish. Hope you enjoyed this blog and have a good day.

March 2, 2020 Years By SCHS
This project was about the pictures and names of people since from the first year of SCHS, Scott City High School. It was quick and it was neat-ish, I had fun recording them because when I was younger I used to play with them. But I really haven’t seen no one actually record the frames and wanted for everyone to see these amazing looking pictures about people who used to go to school here. Having music with it was neat and made a more subtle feeling. The cool thing about this was how they added new frames per year to those graduating. I feel one day if I stay long enough in Scott City, I would one day be on a frame with my picture and name on it. But mostly it was hard resisting to push by each frame quickly like I used to. The cool thing was that at the very end of all the frame was the words “Tradition Never Graduates” and honestly I thought that was a pretty cool saying. I used my phone instead of the normal cameras we use, at least now I can have the recording on my phone now and can watch it to remind me of the students before us. I mostly just rambled about the frames and the coolness of how they arranged it. That’s all and I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and have a good day.
